Max School Daily Bulletin Monday, August 29, 2022 “Attention: K-6th grades, today, we are launching our Book Blast! In our school, we believe that reading is so important, and Book Blast is a fun way to make sure that each of you will take home at least one new book to read. However, you can earn up to 10 books! Your teacher will be showing you a video that tells you about a Treasure Map, how you can earn cool rewards, enter a drawing to win a Treasure Chest stuffed with cash or even an iPad, and how to earn new and exciting books for your home library. So, have fun tonight completing your Book Blast Treasure Map and unlocking your treasure!” *There will be an M-Club meeting tonight (Monday August 29th) from 6:30-7:30 pm. There have been some safety concerns with the revamped parking lot. Anyone parking in the front row please make sure you are behind the line to leave plenty of room for the buses to come through on the bus lane. Some students are getting dropped off between the parking areas and running through the cars and it is difficult for the drivers to see a kid running out. Please drop off and pick up children on the South end by the bike rack. Students can enter from the South side and make their way through the building to whichever classroom needed.

9-12 volleyball practice will start on Monday, August 15th at 6:00 am. The bus will leave Max at 5:30 am. Physicals and fees must be turned into the office before then. The office will be open until 3:00 pm today and closed tomorrow. JH volleyball practice will start on Wednesday, August 17th (after school). Please continue to check the ActivityScheduler app for practice/leave times. If you are not riding the bus, please let the bus driver (or Mrs. Talbott) know!

JH football and XC start practice tomorrow. The bus will leave for football at 6:30 am and XC will practice in Max at 7:00 pm. There will also be a parent/athlete meeting for XC at 7:00 pm. Congratulations to Benjamin Scheresky of the Max FFA Chapter for being selected as one of four National FFA Finalists in the Diversified Crop Production Entrepreneurship Proficiency Area! Onto one more round of competition in October!
