*Today is the final day of National School Counseling Week. This week we talked about how we’re “better together.” Whether it’s teamwork, compromise, learning to lean on each other or embracing our differences, these are skills we practice every day. At our school and everywhere you go, spread kindness, and show empathy. Together, we really are better. Thank you for celebrating National School Counseling Week. Have a safe and fun weekend!

*We are still celebrating National School Counseling Week. As we talk about being “better together,” Mrs. Kersten would like you to remember that embracing our differences makes us so much more interesting. We all have different abilities, different attributes, different interests, different goals, different families, different perspectives. Imagine what a boring world we’d live in if we were all the same. Celebrate the things that make you YOU and make your friends THEM. We are so much more interesting together.

*Sources of Strength Peer Leaders will meet today (Wednesday, February 9th) at 12:10 in the Greenhouse Headroom.
*This week, we are celebrating National School Counseling Week. Our theme for this week is “Better Together.” Mrs. Kersten spends a lot of time with your teachers. Together, they look for better ways to help you learn. They also can be friends. Reaching out to your friends is very important. Sometimes making friends and being open in your friendships is difficult. Mrs. Kersten can help.

Mrs. Kersten works with Ms. Klabunde every day to support you. Their most important job is working together to help all students in this school succeed. Sometimes they have different ideas. When that happens, they find ways to compromise. Mrs. Kersten can help you learn to collaborate and compromise.

The Max South Prairie Speech Team braved icy roads to get to Mohall for the second Speech meet of the season. Megan Kramer and Ryder Mittelsteadt placed 6th in Humorous Duo. Dalen Ruhland and Mason Smith placed 7th in Humorous Duo. Lora Rockwell and Megan Kramer placed 4th in Serious Duo. Megan Kramer placed 3rd in Impromptu and 1st in Speech to Persuade. Ryder Mittelsteadt placed 6th in Radio Broadcasting. Lora Rockwell placed 7th in Speech to Persuade and 9th in Poetry. Brea Pitner placed 6th in Impromptu. Emma Marten placed 6th in Dramatic Interp. Elias Jimenez placed 4th in Extemp Speaking.

At the first Speech Meet of the season held at Minot Central Campus, Dalaney Ruhland placed 2nd in Radio Broadcasting and 8th in Serious Prose. Lora Rockwell placed 4th in Storytelling. A great start to the season! The team is looking forward to next week's meet at Mohall-Lansford-Sherwood.
Today our BBB teams will travel to White Shield for JV/Varsity games starting at 5:00. They are limiting spectators to 2 per athlete and masks are required. They will not be charging for admission and there won't be concessions.
