“With April being Youth Financial Literacy Month, the NDSU Extension partnered with Max to provide a lesson to our Kindergarten and First Grade about the importance of saving!
*The students got to decorate piggy banks and they are located at the local bank in Max, TruCommunity Bank. Customers can “vote” on the piggy bank that they like best by placing coins in the slot. All students will be keeping their “votes” as the close of the contest on Wednesday April 27th.“

Track practice has been changed from South Prairie to practice at home schools.
Gabe Magallon did very well at the competition yesterday! He was put on Region 7 Team 1 and they took 2nd overall on the Individuals Team Test out of 20 teams! He did not place as an individual but competed well against the top 6th, 7th, and 8th graders in all of North Dakota. Only about 25% of the field was made up of 6th and 7th graders.

Emma Marten placed 4th in Extemporaneous Programmed Reading, 5th in Humorous Interp, and 5th Dramatic Interp. Brea Pitner placed 5th in Impromptu and 7th in Dramatic Interp. Dalaney Ruhland placed 6th in Radio Broadcasting. Elias Jimenez placed 5th in Extemp and 7th in Impromptu.
